School Based Youth Services

A Project of the Jewish Renaissance Foundation School Based Youth Services Program. The School Based Youth Services Program (SBYSP) was started in 1987 to help young people navigate their adolescent years, finish their education, obtain skills leading to employment or continuing education, and graduate healthy and drug free.


 

Family Success Centers (FSC) are community-based, family centered neighborhood gathering places where any resident of Middlesex County can go for support, information, and services—with parent leadership at its center. All services are free and confidential. 
The purpose of the FSC is to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families and neighborhoods stronger. The goals of the Family Success Center are to promote family well-being, link families to community services, empower and support families, provide culturally sensitive programs and help families identify and build on their strengths.


 

MCFOODS collects and distributes nonperishable items at no cost to over 80 local food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the County as well as an additional 25 agencies including residential facilities, shelters, social service agencies, programs for women and children, senior citizen housing facilities and other outreach services that are also a part of our network. Through all of the agencies in our network we are reaching a wide variety of people throughout the County that are in need including low income families, the homeless, people with disabilities or mental or physical challenges, children and senior citizens.


 

The mission of the Office of Recreation provides recreation programs and activities for youth and adults. The Office of Recreation also provides services to our special needs community with various programs such as, Flag Football League Softball League, Basketball League,Arts & Craft, Volleyball, Tennis classes and league,Special trips for youth and families, Special sports clinics, Performing Arts and  Bowling


 

Student Training & Enrichment Program for Urban Progress (Step-Up) is a project of the Jewish Renaissance Foundation, funded by the NJ State Department of Children and Families. Step-Up is based out of the Academy for Urban Leadership Charter School. The program offers a number of services that support the students of this school. When a student’s high-risk behavior puts his or her education in jeopardy, Step Up intervenes with solutions. The program trains students as peer mediators who can resolve conflicts among fellow students. 


 

We know getting there can be a challenge. EZ Ride gives you lots of transportation choices. We manage New Jersey's largest carpool, vanpool and shuttle services for businesses, colleges, universities and municipalities. We offer innovative programs, like car and bike-sharing, and we provide transportation for older adults, people with special needs and lower income clients.


The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Perth Amboy is to provide a safe, secure, clean and quiet community environment, to maintain the property in good condition, offer services and resources to assist in becoming self-sufficient and to ensure the enjoyment of family life, for all residents.
